A week after our plan took shape, we had confirmation that Blake would meet us at the Eastwick Hotel at seven tonight. Lucas has been working on their maintenance team for four days now. Noah made the reservations for two rooms as soon as Blake confirmed, and I forwarded the room number to the man.

Ivy is currently dressed in a short black dress, heels that lace up her calves, and her hair is curled in enthralling waves. Deep purple lipstick stains her lips, and her makeup is almost garish after seeing her barefaced and natural for the last week.

She's been running herself into the ground lately, working on things for The Gambit and setting up this Blake meeting. She spent time looking over the data Jacob was able to pull, though it wasn't much. She barricaded herself in the tech room to do some additional research on someone King wants her to deal with.

We could have a look at what she was doing, but Jacob trusts her, and I do as well. It's not our business until she decides she wants to bring us in on it.

Noah and Jacob spent the week setting up a path for Blake to follow when we get the evidence on him.

Lucas has been laying the groundwork here at the hotel, including adding some bugs to the room we booked today.

And me? Well, I've pretty much been living on cloud nine at having Ivy back in my life and dropping by the Annex building to grab a couple things.

Ivy told Jacob and me about Lucas asking her out, and to be honest, we both knew it was coming. He's not one to chase after any girl, but then again, Ivy isn't just anyone, is she? She's sweet, she kicks ass in the ring, and she has already brought Jacob and me to our knees. We assured her that there's no issue for us. If she's happy, we're happy.

Speaking of Jacob, Ivy totally caught me checking him out. First, in the bedroom when we had our movie night when she moved in with us, then once again two days ago when we were working out.

Yeah, I tend more towards women than men, but damn, he's hot as fuck. You'd have to be dead not to find that man sexy as hell. Even dead, it'd probably be fifty-fifty.

I've never acted on my attraction since he's my best friend. We've been with women together but never done anything on our own. I've caught a glance or two over the years that made me wonder if he was having any of the same thoughts about me, but nothing has ever come of it, so I've put that little crush to rest.

Somehow, having Ivy with us is reigniting some of those feelings. The way she submits under his dominating words and his soft touches has me wondering what would happen if he turned those attentions to both of us.

Ivy and I haven't had a lot of time to spend together like we did the other night because the plan took shape quickly.
